12.23.05- "MICROGRAVITY" Selected for competition in 2006 SFSFF


The Science Fiction Short Film Festival, a joint production of the Seattle International Film Festival and the Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame, has announced its slate of twenty films for display and competition at the Cinerama Theatre in Seattle, WA on February 4th, 2006.  "MICROGRAVITY," A David Ethan Sanders film, will be shown along with an impressive slate of works from all over the world.

The twenty finalists were selected from an overall pool of over seventy films.  The creators of the film most favored by the official jury (comprised of Oscar winning director and special effects master Douglas Trumbull, Hugo and Nebula award-winning author Vonda N. McIntyre, SCI FI Channel senior vice president of programming and original movies, Thomas Vitale, and internationally recognized film festival jurist, physicist and science populist Lawrence Krauss) will be invited to pitch their ideas for an original feature film to be written and/or directed for the Sci Fi Channel. 

The festival will air from 4pm through 9:30 PM on Saturday, February 4th, at the Cinerama Theatre.  For more information about the film festival, see
