Although no formal agreement was made and no money changed hands, this amicable meeting provided the impetus for Slave to the Light to begin at-risk development pending further negotiation. The 2006 International Space Developer's Conference in Los Angeles, CA was regarded as an overwhelming success, with over 1300 guests in attendance from companies and organizations as diverse as NASA, Yuri's Night, Northrup Grumman and the Planetary Society.
