ISDC will be held in Los Angeles from May 4 through May 7 and will be held jointly by the National Space Society and the Planetary Society. Featured speakers at ISDC 2006 include Buzz Aldrin & Rusty Schweickart, astronauts of the Apollo Moon landings; Burt Rutan, CEO of Scaled Composites and designer of the X Prize-winning SpaceShipOne; Founder and Chairman of the X Prize Foundation; Shana Dale, Deputy Administrator of NASA and Dennis Tito, entrepreneur and first space tourist. The conference serves as the main gathering of corporations and individuals advocating space tourism and the commercialization of space.
